Some projects are not always easy and require going the extra mile. This was recently demonstrated by a project at our customer Wipotec in Kaiserslautern. With the help of a 150-ton crane, the dedicated efforts of our team, and the technical assembly by Adrian Posner, six 36-cubic-meter tanks were installed. They are part of the Redox Flow Batteries and form the basis for our Hybrid Energy Storage System (Hybrid ESS) at the Wipotec headquarters.
After the installation of additional components such as pumps and power electronics, a lithium-ion system with 1000 kW power and 330 kW/h capacity is being constructed. Together with the Redox Flow Battery, it will constitute our Hybrid ESS. Commissioning is scheduled for April/May. With a capacity of 336 kW, the Redox Flow Battery will provide a future capacity of 3,750 kW/h, efficiently utilizing self-produced solar power at the Wipotec site and paving the way for a sustainable and decentralized energy future.
